On this website are states, provinces, and countries showing places we are aware of that have matchbooks or matchboxes (whether with matches, notepaper, toothpicks, or mints) with their names.

With July 2024, matches have been found in Madison, Wisconsin, at Harvey House and Sardine. Also, worth visiting are Fioretta, Gene & Georgetti, Gibsons, Gioia, The Hangge-Upp, Monteverde, The Owl, Rainbo Club, and Virtue in Chicago, Illinois, and Dishoom, Edinburgh, Scotland. Lillian Oyster Hall in Richmond, Virginia, has matches as do Darling Oyster Bar, The Rarebit, and Uptown Social in Charleston, South Carolina. In Austin, Texas, there are Aba, Donn’s Depot, and Uptown Sports Club while in San Antonio, there are Bar1919 and Flying Saucer. In Baltimore, Maryland, there are Ropewalk Tavern, Hotel Ulysses, Ash Bar, and Bloom’s with matches. Cafe Dan Turell, Hotel d’Angleterre, Ruby, and Hotel Sanders in Copenhagen, Denmark, have matches as do Caffe Hoppe, NH Hotel City Centre, Local Dealer, MOMO, W Amsterdam, and Mr. Porter in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, as well as Mr. Porter in Barcelona, Spain. In Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Bar Lesieur and Enswell have matches with their names as do Albert’s Bar, Kabin, Manhatta, Massara, and San Sabino in New York City, New York. In Denver, Colorado, there is B&GC.
It is a new month – June 2024 – and matches have been found in Texas – Allora in San Antonio, and Bertie’s in Waco. In Asheville, North Carolina, Provisions, Wedge Brewing, and The Whale Beer Collective have matches with their names. In New York City, New York, Emmett’s, Fonda, Joe Allen, and Left Bank in Manhattan have matches as does Federoff’s in Brooklyn; Bar Brava in Newburgh has matches, too. Chicago Athletic Association Hotel, Cherry Circle Room, Gemini Grill, and Luxbar in Chicago, Illinois, have matches with their names. In Boston, Massachusetts, Nebo Cucina and Enoteca has matches. In Paris, France, Cafe de Flore, Facette, Le Grand Mazarin, Hotel Hoy, Le Pigalle, and The Ritz Paris Hotel have matches. Detroit Club, Hiroki-San, and Kampers in Detroit, Michigan, have matches while Flyleaf in Grosse Pointe Farms and B.D.T. Smoke Shop in Hazel Park also have matches. Foreign Cinema and Waterbar in San Francisco, California, have matches with their names. In Windsor, Ontario, Maiden Lane Wine & Spirits has matches, too. The Dawson, DeNucci’s, Kingston Mines, Second City, and Sunda – River North in Chicago, Illinois, also have matches. In Atlanta, Georgia, Bastone, Le Colonial and Thirty have matches. In Minnesota, matches have been found in Minneapolis at Berlin Music Bar, Bina’s, Butcher & the Boar, Char Bar, & Kim’s and in Prior Lake at Mystic Lake Casino. Meanwhile, in Louisville, Kentucky, Hell or High Water has matches and in Florida, Macchialina Miami Beach has matches as do Chateau ZZ’s and Delilah in Miami, The Auk Market in Gainesville and Superica in Winter Park. Acanto, Coda di Volpe, Le Grande Boucherie, and Oriole in Chicago, Illinois, have matches with their names. Frannie & The Fox in Charleston, South Carolina, has matches, too. In New York City, New York, The Carlyle, Kettle of Fish, and Virginia’s have matches plus Congress Bar and Saraghina Caffe (in Brooklyn). Belle Meade Social and Oxbeau in Memphis, Tennessee, The Nest Market/Cafe in Kiawah Island, South Carolina, Row 34 in Boston, Massachusetts, Fat Stogies Cigar Lounge in Los Angeles, California, and Vero Pizza Napolitano in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, all have matches. In Nova Scotia, Darya in Halifax has matches.
For November 2023, matches began with Le Supreme, Ladder 4 Wine Bar, Mutiny Tiki Bar, and Siren Hotel in Detroit, Michigan, followed by Otto’s High Dive in Orlando, Florida, and Buccan in Palm Beach. In Missouri, Golden Ox, Hotel Kansas City, Ombra, and Stockyards Brewing Co. in Kansas City; The Ozarker Lodge in Branson; and Cinder Block Brewery in North Kansas City have matches while in Kansas, Of Course Kitchen in Overland Park and Cafe Provence in Prairie Village have matches. In San Antonio, Texas, Carriqui has matches with its name. In Charlestown, Massachusetts, Warren Tavern has matches as does Contessa in Boston and in Wells, Maine, Bitter End has matches. In Alabama, Bottega, Chez Fonfon, and Otey’s Tavern in Birmingham, Le Weekend in Mountain Brook, and Grove Station in Tallassee have matches. For Stockholm, Sweden, Haymarket and Hotel Lilla Radmannen have matches as does Girafe in Paris, France.
